Richard Balot

Richard Balot
Founder and CEO

Richard ("Rich") Balot founded ABC Phones of North Carolina, Inc. (dba: Victra) in October of 1996 as a freshman in college. Under his guidance, the company has grown from a single store location to over 1,000 store locations across 46 states, with annual sales exceeding $1.5 billion. Victra has become Verizon’s largest exclusive premium retailer and Rich is considered a thought leader within the industry and among his peers. Rich is an active member in Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and on the local council board of the Boy Scouts. He also volunteers with numerous local charities, participating with his family. Rich holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from East Carolina University.

Rich is married and has four children. He enjoys spending time with his family; watching his children play sports and gymnastics.

Scott Tollett

Scott Tollett
President and Chief Operating Officer

Scott Tollett is responsible for enhancing the company’s best-in-class customer experience and growing bottom line performance. He brings a results-driven, “front-lines” mentality with an ability to create a business climate that is fun, exciting, and conducive to achieving new benchmarks. Most recently, Scott served as Victra’s Chief Sales Officer, exemplifying his strong leadership and strategic sales mindset in this critical role. Prior to his time at Victra, Scott’s most recent experience was a Senior Vice President role for Ritter Communications, an independent communications provider, where he delivered record-breaking sales achievements and improved customer satisfaction – three years in a row. In similar experience, Tollett has developed countless industry leaders and has earned top J.D. Powers “Customer Experience” awards as a leader himself with two different national wireless retailers. Growing up in Arkansas, he started his business career as a sales representative in boutique retail stores, before pursuing a degree from the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. Sales leadership is both profession and hobby, as Scott is an entrepreneur, speaker and author on the subject.

He spends his free time outdoors and in the company of his wife Kim and three children.

Nathan Marlowe

Nathan Marlowe
Executive Vice President, Merchandising and Support Services

Nathan Marlowe, Senior Vice President of Merchandising, has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Merchandising and Support Services. Nathan joined Victra almost four years ago and has held various roles including head of marketing, supply chain and merchandising. In his new role, Nathan maintains oversight of his current business functions (Supply Chain, Merchandising, Marketing, Business Development and Value-Added Programs, while gaining executive responsibility for the successful development and growth of the Greenville Telesales Center (GTC) as well as future strategic verticals.

Marlowe joined Victra from Brightstar, a Global Distribution & Logistics provider of Wireless Products and Services, where he served as Vice President of Sales & Business Development for North America. At Brightstar, Nathan was responsible for all Sales Verticals across Emerging Wireless Categories, Wireless Accessories, and Value-Added Distribution Services. He joined Brightstar from HTC, Americas, a Mobile Handset OEM Manufacturer. Nathan served as National Sales Director overseeing the National Retail and E-Commerce channels.

Prior to HTC, Americas Nathan spent 12+ Years within multiple Wireless and Mobile companies to include Sony, Ericsson, and AT&T Wireless where he managed Sales across many different business units. He also served in the Air Force working within the Signals Intelligence sector. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. If you don’t find Nathan inside the building at Victra then you will probably find him on the golf course or supporting his Virginia Tech Hokies.

Rob Cimo

Rob Cimo
SVP and General Counsel

Rob joined Victra at the beginning of 2018 and has over 20 years of experience leading companies and private equity funds through high-stakes transactions, litigation, and strategic decisions. Prior to Victra, Rob held executive and General Counsel roles at Tivity/Healthways, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, and a family-owned real estate development and construction company. Before moving to North Carolina in 2010 to go in-house he practiced corporate law at the Chicago offices of Kirkland & Ellis and McDermott, Will & Emery and was on Cooley’s venture capital team in Silicon Valley. While attending law school at night Rob served as a legislative aide in the U.S. Senate and as a law clerk in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. He received his B.A. from the University of Chicago in 1994 and his law degree from Georgetown in 2000.

B. Clyde Preslar

B. Clyde Preslar
Chief Financial Officer

Clyde has 16 years of public company CFO experience and before joining Victra, Inc. was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Dollar Express Stores LLC, a privately-owned discount retailer formerly part of Dollar Tree/Family Dollar. Prior to joining Dollar Express, Clyde served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for The Pantry, Inc., an $8 billion Fortune 500 convenience store operator. He has also held Chief Financial Officer roles at RailAmerica, Inc., Cott Corp., and Lance, Inc. Earlier in his career, Clyde served as Director of Financial Services for Worldwide Power Tools at Black & Decker and as Director of Investor Relations at RJR Nabisco. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Economics from Elon College and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Wake Forest University.

Clyde and his wife, Carol, have three grown children.

Lesli Gilbert

Lesli Gilbert
Senior Vice President of Sales

Lesli Gilbert, Area Vice President – South, has been promoted to SVP of Sales/Head of Stores. She brings 30 years of diverse retail experience in a variety of senior executive positions, including field sales and operational roles for iconic national retailers. Her background includes five years with T-Mobile, head of stores for Talbots, Clark’s Shoes, Wet Seal and head of customer experience for Gap. Lesli’s strong relationships with our sales teams and our Store Support Center will help her drive strong sales momentum in 2021 and beyond. Lesli studied Biology at Salisbury University.

Lesli enjoys spending time with her husband of 30 years, Bob and her multiple dogs and horses on their farm in North Georgia.

Julie Skiba

Julie Skiba
Vice President of Human Resources

Julie brings more than 20 years of results and values driven strategic human resource experience in corporate, supply chain, retail and manufacturing environments. She has a leadership track record of consistently inspiring trust, empowering and developing direct team and business partners, as well as, delivering business results. During her time at Victra, Julie has grown the human resources team to continue to support the growth trajectory of the company and stay true to Victra’s people first priority. Prior to her time at Victra, Julie spent 10 years working for Advanced Auto Parts, most recently as their Vice President of Human Resources.

Julie holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida.

Julie enjoys spending time with her daughter.
